Corner Store

This place as a fabulous selection of cute and funny things, ranging from cutlery to cards to furniture. The window display is a master piece, carefully crafted to match the season. It changes every time I’m down at Freo. However the things a quite expensive, like a small bunny toy from the brand JellyCat was $20 which is overpriced in the same was a small “no” button was $15! The connected coffee place is also great and the staff for both are so friendly and willing to have a chat. I also love how they raised money for the bushfires!

Great experience every time I go here and awesome range! One particular experience stands out. It was 2 years ago or so, I ordered one of their pillowcases online. It came with a mark so contacted the store and they replaced it no problems when I came in. Even tho I had forgotten the receipt. And it was all done in the most friendly and helpful manner. This kind of service was hard to come by then, even now so was very pleased. Love this store!

As I can't reply, I am editing my review to respond to your comment.1. When I arrived to your store, your staff member was wearing her mask dangling from one ear.2. Your shop was empty, and I kept my distance and communicated that I had a legitimate reason for not wearing.a mask and gestured to indicate I had something in my hand to support this (although I'll mention that at the time I was not required under legislation to share this with you).3. As you should be aware, medical exemptions are a very real thing, and protected under various disability, anti-discrimination and privacy laws. I was within my rights to enter without a mask and tried, very politely, to communicate I had good reason why.4. You made the decision to tell me to leave regardless.You rightly point out, I have been a loyal customer for many years. After this exchange in which I was humiliated and shocked, I will not set foot in your store again. It was so unnecessary and hostile; you did not act in good faith, or indeed in line with the law. You have now also chosen to publicly post about my mask-wearing status. I suggest you not only refresh your knowledge of the laws I've mentioned, should someone else be made to feel as uncomfortable as I did, but also reflect on your PR and customer service skills, for the next time we face such difficult times as a community. Quite right, you are not responsible for government regulations - but you are responsible for your own humanity, your own understanding of the rights of your customers, and indeed how you approach sincere and loyal customers in such difficult times.The handling in the moment was so very-off; it's all too easy to follow up with a well-dressed, but ultimately insincere, reply on Google Reviews.
